On the other hand, those from non-Arminian theologies may also find ideas they appreciate. Many from the “lordship” perspective will value the Remonstrant emphasis on repentance, that it is a requirement for salvation, that it precedes faith and that the biblical authors understood that when Scripture mentions “faith” alone it included the idea of repentance. We within the Baptist tradition will resonate with Remonstrant efforts to write a confession which was an accurate expression of their faith,
